When to talk to Paladin Hardin

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 9:02 pm

I have looked up this issue, but I think my game is bugged because I go back to Hardin and he still stays to come back in a few days. Is there any fix for this?

Some questions: is your NV updated to the latest patch? If so, did you started a new game after downloading the patches or you continued your pre-patch game?

Seems to be that way, though every ending can be achieved by

blowing up the Brotherhood Bunker
, unfortunately there's a couple quests you can't complete because of this glitch but it won't hinder your ability to finish the game at least.

Definitely yes, if you whant the patches to be fully effective. I understand your disappointment: I had to throw my 71 hours game for the same bug. Anyway, before start a new game, try to do Veronica's quest. A pair of players told me that Veronica could fix that bug, talking to Elder McNamara... I tried, but nothing happened, but you might whant to try by yourself.

Good fix, if you don't care about Power Armour training. ;)
Becoming a Paladin is the only way to obtain Power Armour training... well, there's actually Arcade Gannon's quest too, but that's a very long and hard way to gain PA training.

You might want to check the Vault (the Fallout Wiki) about the Arcade one... I was under the impression that his quest can be triggered almost no matter what path you're on, but that you should probably have him with you once
Spoiler
you're asked to "take care" of the Brotherhood.

If you start a new game, the Still in the Dark bug should be fixed. Anyway, in my new game I decided to not talk to Hardin at all, to be sure to avoid that bug. I suggest you to do the same. ;)
