I have activated that robot Ed-e
And have the quest that says go to that scrap yard.

Anyway i'm in the scrapyard and the quest arrow is pointing at the old woman there. I talk to her but there is no dialogue about the robot.

What am I supposed to do now. I have a quest I can't finish.

Am I missing something or is this quest bugged?

Just try talking to her about various topics. If that doesn't do anything, talk to her again later on when you're doing the quest for the ghouls.

Try running away and running back (manually, not fast travel). It also takes awhile for the logs to show up in game time from when you started. If running doesn't work, try waiting a day or two.

I've already done the quests with the ghouls.

Just keep walking around and talking to people. Eventually you'll trigger something interesting.

Certain keywords trigger him - try the guys over at the HELIOS 1 plant nearby. One of the scientist guys will talk about the (pre-war) weapons project there, even if you've completed the quest and that will trigger one of the robot's playback sequences. That's how I advanced the ED-E quest, when I had the same problem.

Dumn question maybe... but do you have ede with you? You need it beside you when you talk to her.
