I just had a major spinal surgery and am out of work until febuary 2011 this is crazy as i have had the same job for 14 years without missing a single day. so i guess between fable 3 and fallout new vegas i will have alot of time on my hands to play new vegas as fable 3 is for my son i think the game svcks and is always the same old crap meanwhile i will play the ps3 version of fallout new vegas i ordered the collectors edition with over night shipping and will recieve around 10:00am eastern time on release day just 9 days from now. sorry for the blabber its just when you are out of work this long and are use to doing physical labor 6 days a week i am really excited about losing myself in the fallout world. happy gaming only 8 and 1/2 days left good day to all u fellow gamers no matter what system u play ps3 xbox360 pc i love u all kick A@#

You still get paid right?
In that case: Being sick/newly operated (sure that svcks) until february with paid sickdays. You lucky bastard...
Well I shouldn't complain, I work 4 days a week for 4.5 to 6 hours so I shouldn't really whine either. :P

Been there myself as I had two back operations a couple of years ago and was home for about two years.
Hope you recover fast and that all goes well.

If you don't have too much pain, you should be able to enjoy F:NV to keep you busy for the time you're at home :)

For me it was the perfect time, beside of the pain and recovery, to complete Oblivion with mods, hence I invested lots of hours into that one.

Back surgeries svck. Had mine 3 years ago, was hospitalised for a week (worst week of my life), couldn't walk right for 2 months, was taking painkillers like candy. Though worst part of it was I couldn't really do anything for a month, even sitting took so much of a effort that I couldn't be on my computer for more than 30 minutes. Only good thing was that I got 4 month sick leave and had the craziest summer of my life running around festivals. Hopefully you don't have so bad time recovering and can enjoy playing NV as some of us don't clearly have enough time for that.

Whoa. I wouldn't want to take off school even if I were allowed. I hate having a bunch of work to catch up on.

But I hope you are on paid leave. Because if you are and your back isn't causing a bunch of pain, you will probably have a great time.

she'd give you the radiation ability that lets you heal broken limbs

Bummer on the back problems. I threw my back out once and missed work for 3 days (covered by worker's comp since it was work-related). Totally not worth the pain, so you have my sympathies. I'm lucky for NV since mid-semester break is the weekend after release (huzzah!).

I'm so very sorry about your back surgery and happy you will have this game to see you through and assist in avoiding boredom. Other than being excited about the game however this thread has little to do with Fallout:NV. The surgery well wishes belong in CD and there are a ton of threads about being excited so I'm closing this one.

I wish you a speedy and full recovery. :)
