The BoS quartermaster seems to have misplaced a laser pistol. I'm looking for it.

I ask the paladin that's overseeing the firing range and he says teh laser in question was checked out and back in by this one Initiate.

I track down the initiate and inquire him. He says he snuck out with another initiate and then ran afoul of some radscorps in a gulch southeast of the bunker and dropped it as he fled.

He also said the two stood up on a ledge or something with a dead body at the base.

Sure enough, I've found the locale, a map-marker'd spot called "Scorpion Gulch", so it's the area. I found a little area off a bit with a dead prospector (Authority glasses! SCORE! ) and a grave up in an alcove, but I'm not seeing the laser anywhere...

Where is it exactly?

At scorpion gulch. In the area where all the giant radscorpions were gathering at the bottom of a hill. The pistol is resting on the ground. Walk to the rock wall. If you walked down the hill toward the wall and you had two paths; one to your right and one to your left. I found it there.

Fast travel to Scorpion Gulch and it should be right in front of you.

I just did this last night and found it on top of a big rock in scorpion gulch. It was pretty much in the middle of the gulch.
