Want to preorder box copy, what's the fastest way

Post » Wed Jan 12, 2011 8:36 am

Hi, I'm old school and would prefer a box copy of the new game so I can have the DVD and a printed manual. Was thinking about preordering the classic version from Gamestop. I see they have an option to download a digital copy, order thru mail or pickup in store. Since I'm interested in the later two, which one do you think I would likely be able to get closest to the release date (states it is Oct. 19th)!

Thanks,

Amazon.com has release day delivery option on theirs.

Try amazon.

Or you can preo-rder it through your local walmart, gamestop, bestbuy, etc.

Instore pickup is probably the fastest cheap way. You could pay extra shipping for them to deliver it straight to your door, but that's expensive.

Ahh, Gamestop usually has midnight events where you can pick it up in-store... Call and ask is all I can say.

I went the Gamestop route and selected in store pickup. The way i see it is if they will have them for people on release day then hopefully mine will be there then too and i wont have to pay overnight shipping. It also happens to be on the way home from work.

Then again when you factor in my luck they will probably lose my copy in shipping or the box/dvd will be broken in half.

I pre-ordered the CE over Amazon. We'll see when it arrives. I have no doubt that it'll arrive on release day, but it probably won't get here until around 6:00 PM.

In Store is the fastest least expensive (assuming the store is near you). Amazon only charged me $6 for Release Day Delivery, about the same as normal shipping.

It also depends on the kind of add-on, for pre-order, you may be interested in. That is if you even want to use that to start off with. I went with Gamestop so I could pick it up in the store, close to me and get the Classic add on, which includes the Vault 13 canteen. Amazon is the tribal add on.

Just go in and buy it the day it comes out? Seems pretty simple. I'm sure they won't sell out
