Hi. Ive been having trouble killing convicts in Primm. As a result in one of the buildings I killed one of three convicts and then saved the game thinking it would be easier to kill the next two alone . As a result everytime I turn on new vegas Im shot. I have no action points so cant use vat system. Basically every time I turn on the game I die in a split second. Im at the point where Im going to have to start a new game. Ive tried hiding to buy some time but It hasnt worked. Any Suggestions?

Next time keep more than one save. And don't save during a fight. You've otherwise got it covered with "I die when I load."

And, next time, don't post spoilers in the General Section. :stare:

i take it you are fast loading or loading the fast load game,
go back to the auto save that was made as you entered the building,
if you are dying the second you load the game then you cant have left the building or have entered another building so the auto save will still be there,
unless of course you turned the autosaves off then you are screwed .
but if you didnt then just load the auto save from the main index load.

Id hardly call that a spoiler. Im just posting a big problem in the general disscussion forum in order to get advice before having to go back and start a new game. It gives nothin away. Thanks for your constructive reply.

Do you have time to get the pip boy up to use some med-x and fully heal? Give you enough time to then get to cover

No Marine. Im dead literally in a split second. I know its my fault for fast saving. Ive never played any fallout games before but am finding it hard. I can shoot an enemy 3 times yet they survive and kill me with one shot. I love this game but have never known anything like it. Im only playing on normal mode.

I would try

1. Pop medx, jet, psycho, and rebound (if you have it)
2. Turn the difficulty down to very easy (you can adjust difficulty back up after in case you don't know) (I don't think you lose anything for doing this, unlike hardcoe which you lose the trophy if you turn it off even once)
3. If all else fails, and you are on a PC, use the console to get out of trouble so you don't have to restart.

I would try 1 by itself, then with 2 if 1 doesn't work personally

I think the part about primm would be the spoiler (i.e. just say you have 3 bandits with no other details, because it really isn't necessary to understand your problem)

Ok . I see. I will be more careful in future not to mention specific details like towns and gang factions. The problems sorted now. I used the auto save mentioned by Cragarion and have since resaved from that. Thanks for replies.
