I just spotted that my friends - veronica and rex , are not following me, and i don't know where they are

They didn't die, i am sure of it.

I just completed Cass's quest, but I can't find her anywhere. I can see her on the map on the pip-boy, but when I go to that location she is nowhere to be seen. Is the a "call follower" command in the console or somesuch? I can't even switch followers until I find cass.

For cass, you can do the following console commands:

prid 00135f19
enable
moveto player


Unless she's dead that should work. She's probably stuck under the terrain or something if she still appears on the map.
