Enjoy Your Game!

Hi all

I haven't been here for a while, until yesterday.
I won't be around much again for a while. So I just want to say I hope everyone enjoys the game and has a great time playing it.

I'm staying away from reading anything about the game. I have seen the trailer only, nothing more.
I want everything in the game to be a complete surprise to me. So I haven't been reading, looking at shots, or even wish list of things people would like to see in this game.
I bought it a couple days on Steam. It is ready to go as soon as they unlock it. So, for the next couple months, at least, I will be lost in the world of Fallout NV, completely green to everything the game offers.
I think it will be a very enjoyable experience that way.

I tend to always find out about things I hadn't yet found on my own when staying up with the boards, even if not going to 'Spoiler' section. So this time, I am not going to read anything until I feel pretty certain I have completed most every quest and covered nearly every inch of the map. I'll be back then looking for quest mods and such.
Hopefully I won't need to be around the support boards at all

Good luck in your quest. Hope you make all the right choices and your equipment is always in good form.
Now, lets go see what all the fuss in New Vegas is all about. :foodndrink:

Bye for now :vaultboy:

Well ain't going to be easy. I too love to talk about the cool things there will be.
But I played MW completely alone and it was one of the best gaming experience I have ever had. When OB came out, I did go to the boards, but would read of things I didn't know about already. As much as i love OB, it didn't seem as thrilling during some stages, because I already kinda knew something about what was taking place. I would remember, 'Oh yeah, this is what they meant about the....'
Fo3, kinda the same, I read about being able to 'meet Burke' long before I had. The surprise was gone. I knew about a few things that took away a lot of the thrill in it. I couldn't help but to learn these things, simply by reading the forums.

So, back when the boards opened for NV, I decided a couple weeks later I was just going to stay completely away from any information on the game other than release date, lol.
So far it has worked, I just today found out Beth didn't make it. But that's cool because I figure they had a lot of influence in its design and gamplay style.

Anyway, it is going to be the first time in years I have done this. I think it will be fun as well as challenging. Not knowing that 'doing this in the game will result in this' is much of the thrill, for me. I don't want any 'clues' as to what might happen if I do something I shouldn't...

I remember long after completing Morrowind, finding out about all the people that made mistakes of killing a vital npc. I played differently and never killed anyone that didn't attack me first, so while I didn't know I could have killed someone I would later need, I didn't make that mistake. But I liked knowing that it could have happened. It felt very rewarding to know I played the game and didn't screw up like that, even though I didn't know I could have.

So, I will head to bed for awhile and get up later to play. From then on for awhile, I will be the lone wastelander living it up in New Vegas. Whatever will be will be...

You all have fun :)

Leave your Hellos and Goodbyes over http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1111401-introduce-yourself/ Can you imagine how many threads we would have if everyone coming and going made a thread about it?

Happy Gaming!
