4th Era

I just completed Oblivion's main quest for the first time, minus obtaining the Imperial Dragon Amor, and I had a question. Is the game's calendar supposed to switch to the 4th era by this point? It hasn't for me and I remember reading that it was supposed to, somewhere.

No, it isn't. But when you play TES5 you will probably see that it infact did change into the 4th era :P

I think this game's stuck in the 3rd era indefintely, so it may be possible to get to 3E1999 (if you played for that long of a period)

The game's calendar won't switch over, although according to lore, IIRC, the Fourth Era begins with the end of Oblivion's MQ.

I think we just figured out general timeframe of V.

It may fall into 4E1-18. =)

But after reading it, I'm depressed. :( This is not what Martin would have wanted.

Most likely TES V will take place after The Infernal City and its sequel, which take place sometime well after the start of the 4th era.
