Hey guys...
When I try to load up Oblivion on either a saved game or a new game, after i wait for about 3 seconds it stops responding and a pop-up says "Oblivion.exe has stopped responding".
I checked my load order and it is all fine.
I tried disabling all my mods and that didn't work, i deleted my configuration Oblivion.ini file and made a new one but that didn't work either.
I don't know whats wrong, besides that my video card is not that good... but I've been playing Oblivion on it for a while..
I'm playing on a windowed screen at 640x480 resolution.
Please I need your help.. I just bought this new copy of Oblivion cause i lost my old one just to find out this error..

I take it this is a long-established install of Oblivion that has ran flawlessly (or nearly so) until recently? Have you tried other highly demanding games/demos/benchmarks to insure it isn't a broader issue? No hardware changes or non-Oblivion software updates?

You might as well go ahead and post your DXDIAG readout so we can see what's up computer wise.

Yes, it has ran flawlessly until recently.. about 2 weeks ago.
I've played other demanding games like Co without any problems.
Oblivion also stutters at the beginning where the title screen is and whenever i start a new game and the emperor is talking, the game freezes a bit and then goes again.
Now Oblivion won't even start up...

If he is claiming that a 6150 chip ran the game "fine" up to now, he just never got outside after the tutorial. That junk is about half as good as the 6200A, which was already gutted out compared to the original Geforce 6200, which isn't good enough at all.

For the record, i had this game for 1 year, i have installed many mods, i have gone FAR more than the tutorial, I have finished the main quest with out a FLAW, please don't make rude comments if you don't know what you are talking about.

He's right though. I used to have that chip, and I never got anything more than 15FPS in most wilderness areas at 640x480 on the lowest settings.

I'm using the x64 bit and dual core. I get 42 FPS at most, 6 FPS at the least :S.
My average is about 29, from Fraps and the in-game FPS checker.
