Well, I was standing there talking to Benny and I guess he decided to draw on me because Arcade just melted him. Now what? My path is for NCR and I have the chip. Can it help the NCR if I have the chip? I've got to say though...it was too funny. When Arcade did that, I just lost it. Thank you, Arcade. Benny shouldn't have shot me - and he tried to do it twice!

no you dont need the chip i think for NCR

The chip is irrelevant for the NCR path. I went to Benny first before House on my NCR playthrough and he ran off to the Fort and I never saw him or the chip again.
