Fallout new player here

Howdy all

Complete fallout new player here, never played one before until NV. I have played NV for a good 30 hours now, kinda figuring the concept out as I've gone along.

I'm just wondering, do a lot of people re-play it on several accounts? and do people pick one specific group that they want to be with? I don't really know anything about it...

When people say they have beaten it, does that mean they have gotten to the end with a certain group?

So far, I have killed Mr. House, liked in goodsprings, liked in NCR, idolized in Boomers, neutral in BoS. Haven't used a guide for anything :$ Vilified by Legion and Hated by powders.

Does anyone have any recommendations for what to do?

Under those circumstances, it's advisable to finish the game siding with the NCR or Yes Man.

Yes, that's usually what they mean. You don't have to do/see every possible ending to have 'beaten' the game. :) But many do also replay in order to do/see the other faction paths/options.

Agree w/RocknRolla ... NCR or YesMan for your current game. It's difficult to play all sides or play no sides...in the very end, of course, you have to pick one, and depending on your previous actions in the game, you may not have much of a choice which one.

Ok - thanks guys. So far I have been in good with the NCR, I love the boomers, and Yes man is in control of lucky 38. unfortunately being good with ncr means killing off BoS, so do I just say, sobeit, I'll be BoS next time around?

I'm not too great at fighting tbh aha

you can make a treaty betweeen brotherhood of steel and NCR. I reccomend it. Do all the quests for the brotherhood, become a member, then tell macmanara that the NCR is out to destroy them. He wil propose a treaty, then you no longer need to destroy the BoS

I just have to say, I find it somewhat ironic that the Brotherhood is supposedly locked down due to fear of the NCR, yet all 4 of the major factions want you to somehow interact with them, implying they know they exist. Not doing a really good job hiding, are they?
