Hello all. Golem here with more new player questions

1) How bad is Power Armor for stealth? My character relies on Sneak a lot and he is currently using Recon armor for +Sneak, but I have a set of Brotherhood power armor in the stash. How bad is it for stealth exactly? Is the penalty negated by a high Sneak level or is it something that cannot be avoided?

2) Since energy weapons don't seem to have options for silencer mods, I've been wondering- how do they rank in the noise level department? Is it possible to be as stealthy a sniper with energy rifles as with a silenced Sniper rifle?

There are 3 ranks of noise made by weapons: silent, normal and loud. Silent are those using silencer and melee weapons. Energy weapons are mostly in normal range, non is silent.

Yes and partially yes.

Power Armour is "Heavy" Armour, and sneak is best with "light" or "no" armour.

Unless you fire your energy weapon, it would do effect stealth.

I thought that Holorifle (Dead Money 360 exclusive) was silent though.

Hollow rifle and assassin armoour your best bet.

Well now, I'm sure glad somebody paid M$, to beta-test the DLC, just to get some sideways/halfarsed hardware.
