fighting cazadors now that sniper rifle is changed

Post » Tue Dec 14, 2010 4:56 am

I am wearing mark 2 combat armor and when I was fighting cazadors, I tried to do it from afar, using sniper rifle. even if a few got up close eventually, the 62 points of damage took em down pretty quick.

now the crit multiplier is changed and the gun also only does 42 points damage. I am wondering what everyone uses for fighting cazadors (gun choices I mean, I don't have unarmed/melee/energy weapons very high)

what i heard was that the second patch weaken the sniper rifle. so it is going to be more difficult. it seems that Arcade Israel Gannon, the side kick, doest very well with his plasma pistol or what ever his default weapon is. i like using a sniper weapon at range and a rapid fire weapon like a machine gun when they are close. so far i am lucky and only faced 3 or 5 at a time.

Use the Anti-Material Rifle/Alien Blaster. Problem solved.

Hunting Revolver with hollow points loaded. Hunting Shotgun, or Riot Shotgun, with magnum buckshot. 10mm SMG with extended mags and JHP ammo. Well placed .308 JSP rounds from a hunting rifle, sniper rifle, This Machine and Gobi. 12.7mm SMG with Hollow Points. Marksman Carbine, or All-American, can tear them apart.

It's not like you lack options here. Going through the Cazador "Valley of death" (unmarked location with tons of these things) I favor "This Machine" since it can spam allot of well aimed .308 JSP rounds rounds down range quickly. Smaller numbers (1-4) I'm quite happy plinking them with a Hunting Rifle or Trail Carbine.

9mm SMG, Assault Carbine, 12 gaugers, melee/unarmed weapon, Laser RCW, Tri-beam, Multiplas or flame weapons. Never feel the need to use large round of Cazadors, although it is fun to one shot them with a Brush Gun.

any fast fire gun that can use holopoint ammo.. They dont have any armor so just plain old holopoint will murder em.

Id suggest 10 mm smg or 22 silenced smg the 22 will help in keepinmg othjer cazadors from noticing what your up to.

Also rather good is of course a mingun or light machine gun.

energy weapon wise the rcw will murder em and the laser minigun will also murder em

shotguns are great too as again no armor on em. this also makes the tribeam rather nifty too as well as a fully modded laser rifle with laser commander perk.

finaly they hate fire so flamers incenerators and incendeary nades will do good on em. Will also cripple thier wings real fast too.

To quote Morgan Freeman "Shoot the Wings off". The Marksman Carbine should be easily enough and if you don't have that then use the Cowboy Repeater and aim for the wings.

I personally rush at them head-on with a ballistic fist. :P

If I have to use guns, I use the Plasma Caster or the Laser RCW, Cazador DT is nonexistent, so low damage, high ROF weapons are very viable against them.

They are unarmoured and move fast: any fast firing auto weapon would do ...all kinds of SMGs, Laser RCW, assault rifles, miniguns and like. If you load them with hollow point ammo, its even better.

Wanted. You know, that "curve the bullets, physics be damned" kind of movie
This Machine-Trail Carbine with hollow point/hand loaded rounds should work.
Use vats, I can't stress this enough.

Laser RCW+ that thing has some sweet accuracy and if you got meltdown it can really help since they always travel in packs

A assaut carbine or light machine gun with hollow point rounds should do the trick.
