I'm having a problem with Veronica's quest for the Brotherhood of Steel, where it doesn't progress the way it should. When I got the Pulse Gun and brought Veronica to Elder McNamara with it, she talked to the Elder about it, but nothing happens afterwards. From reading the information on the wiki, I assume that this is the point where Veronica initiates dialogue with you and says that she wants to get some air. I never heard this bit of dialogue, and I haven't encountered any rogue paladins either. I've tried setting the quest backwards or forwards using console commands, but nothing works short of resetting the quest entirely.

I've tried setstage 145f85 140, which is the command listed for setting a quest toward a certain objective, using the quest id number 145f85 and the stage 140, the number listed as "Bring the pulse gun back to the elder at Hidden Valley". This didn't do anything, so maybe I have the stage number wrong, seeing as the wiki article on console commands tells me to use sqs , but this command only gives me '0.00'.

Does anyone have a solution to this, using console commands or otherwise?

After Veronica talks to the Elder about the Pulse Gun, did you try walking out of the bunker towards the outside world? I think she talks to you after you leave the Elder's chamber but before you actually leave the Wasteland exit door.

I've been in every corner of the bunker with Veronica by my side, the dialogue is simply not triggering. I put this quest on hold for a while after returning to it, so Veronica has also been dismissed and rehired since then.

This is a complicated quest (as most of the companion quests are.)
