READ! How to bypass Hoover Dam (last mission)!

Post » Sun Dec 26, 2010 3:29 am

Alright, as other people probably have done, is getting stuck in Hoover Dam.

Here's what you gotta do: There's a gate to Caesars Legion, go through there (or try Hoover Dam entrances), and get your Pip-boy up as fast as possible. You can fast travel while it's autosaving. I tried to wait, then fast travel, didn't work. You gotta go into and exit a building to be able to fast travel from now on tho.

Sounds like a very annoying by-pass when one could always just, yknow, save before the final mission but whatever.

Oh well, how about starting a new character?
Be a slick small time punk this time around, there's a pre-war suit in one of Goodsprings houses and you can get the 9mm sub at the Doc.
Great roleplaying right there. ;)

If you could do this AFTER killing he Legate and taking his sword I might be impressed.

I think you can. From what I remember, when he got killed, lots of guards spawned, so you could run out and fast travel away.

Finally, I've been waiting for someone to point that out, I started reading this thread thinking, "If I get to the end of this thread without someone suggesting saving it, I'm going to kiss a wookie or something.

Well it is more practical. ;)
