fallout 2 refrences

Post » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:50 am

i am wondering if any body else noticed some of these refrences to fallout 2.

like the old lady who says she used to be an enclave pilot, until she crashed her vertibird outside klamath.

and the one guy in Novac who said he had to leave new reno because of Mr.bishop. mr. bishop was old during fallout 2, theres no way he is still alive. so i guess that the chosen one actually did impregnate Mrs. Bishop, and his son became the new leader of the Bishop family.

i found these pretty funny.

anybody know any more.

Bartender in Sloan can bake Deathclaw omelet. She claims to have recipe from her Fallout 2 aunt (one which was hiding deathclaw in her shed).

[EDIT:] It was Rose in Modock. She ran bar there serving her omelets.

There is also a "fallout 3" reference, well I consider it a reference. But I found a "Wasteland Survival Guide" in a barn to the south. I figured its a FO3 reference since its the same book and same cover.

As far as FO2 references, I couldnt say. Havent played either of the first two.

There is reference to Modoc in Edies office terminal (Powder Gangers leader). Warden was apparently in Modoc before.

im not sure about the time between f02 and nv... it seems inconsistant... does anyone know?

if you talk to klamath bob in westside he says the 'tribal from arroyo' came through before his time. im guessing the guy is about 40. the old lady vertibird pilot is probably mid sixties- which means her first flight where she crashes outside of klamath couldve been when she was 20-25...

but then you got the guy next door; the singer from reno. Mr bishop, IIRC, was the youngest of the bosses-probably mid thirties. if we've got 40-45 years between the games Mr. Bishop would be 75-80... hmmm

There seems to be references all over the place. One of the NRC officers outside Primm is from Hub. I also noticed there is named molerat in Sloan with broken leg. You can heal him. If you connect it to the Deathclaw omelet quest from Sloan bartender connection to Modoc is obvious: there was cow with broken leg which could be cured.

As for timeline, it seems NV is happening few dozen years after F2.
