Possible storyline bug ?

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 2:22 am

Hi all,

In order to get an optimal character, I got the intelligence implant at lvl 1, but I had to sell snowglobe to do that. Because of that, Victor is at Lucky 38 while I am still very early in the story.

I read at some places this could be a storyline problem.

If so, how do I fix this (bring Victor back to Goodsprings ?) ? I guess by using tne console ? Which commands ? I want to be sure I don't create a bigger mess.

Victor arrives at the Lucky 38 as soon as you do. I don't believe he's necessary for anything else, even if you skip Novac and Boulder City.

I suppose there might be an issue if going to one of those places moves him away from the Lucky 38, but there really isn't a need for him to be in Goodsprings at all.

Victor can probably be everywhere at once. His personality is software that isn't limited to one Securitron.

I think he's more worried about game breaking bugs due to the triggers not being activated correctly. If the game moves Victor instead of spawning a new copy, it could remove him from the Lucky 38. I'm not sure how the scripting is done, but I hope it won't cause a problem.

Yea, that is exactly what I am worried about. Even if in theory, Victor is a software, if he is a physical thing in the video game's programming and has been moved, that might cause problem as showler said. What kind of problems can I expect ? How do I fix them ?

I don't think it will be a problem except that when meeting him outside of Vegas he may act like you only just met him recently and ignore anything about the Lucky 38 or House.
