I just finished Dead Money and went to go get ED-E back from the shop he was originally at. But when I enter the shop he is shooting the old couple that live tehre and also fires at me??? Is there a way to get him back and save the Ed-E my love quest? It fails if he kills the old man in the shop.

Poor Ed-E has a lot of problems.
