Hoover Dam extras

Post » Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:23 am

Am I crazy? I thought I read somewhere that there were more locations and sidequests at Hoover Dam, but now I can't find anything about it. Some sort of hidden labs or DNA experiments deep under the dam? Was I just imagining that? I thought I would ask smarter people here to post some of the great unknown places and items at the dam. Right now I pretty much only know about Colonel Moore and Quartermaster Bardon's merchant store. Please post your hints to guide me and others to the great unknown gems of Hoover Dam. Or if explicit directions are given, please hide them with spoiler tags. Thanks for your help in illuminating this interesting but confusing area!

I can find nothing, except some unique loot. It appears that there may be entry points to future content or just content that was abandoned for this game.

Points of interest I've seen at the dam:

-Snowglobe at the entrance.
-Quartermaster at lower levels (best merchant for .45-70 Gov't rounds)
-2 Chinese Stealth Armors (sneak +5, no stealth field)

I was really dissapointed that there were no sidequests regarding the damn itself. I figured there would be a quest involving clearing out the other intake towers that were blocked. (dive in the water, and you would want the rebreather).

Things you can do;
If you go down to the very lowest level, you will find the pipes that are shooting out water.
Run into one once.

If you walk out to the intake tower, you can actually jump the railing into the water (directly in front of damn). There is then a ladder up to the top. Not sure what the purpose is for.

For such a huge, cool place, it sure does svck.

I would of liked a quest that allows efficiency upgrades aka clear up the clogged tunnels.AS the poster above mentioned
