Dunno why you'd have Educated or Comprehension if you were a legionnaire.
Not all legionnaires are stupid, but most of them are former tribals, so going for a legionnaire build I'd say you drop those two. (Yes I know you'd lose skill points but if you want to be a legionnaire then there are some drawbacks you need to accept IMO, a lower amount of skill points would do just fine.)

Well I kinda need some more points as the Frumentarii seem to be a smarter lot, stealth, sabotage, espionage. I dont know how many points I would have without them, but I need enough to voer a few skills

lockpick 75
sneak 50
melee 90
unarmed 90
guns 100
survival 75
repair 45

Just seems alot without those perks, especially if I am playing low int too boost strength and endurance.
Also taking monocyte breeder perk to compliment solar powered and make the regenration effects useful.
I dont know theough my issue is the caracter seems melee focused. I also hear luck is better than strength at improving melee weapon damage due to criticals. Should I have high luck ?

I am asking for suggestion on how to improve a character planned for the legion. Title says it all.

Well, just remember that one can't always be everything.
I haven't tried a frumentarii build before so I couldn't say how it should be.
But I do know that there was a thread a while back about a frumentarii build, try searching for it.
Nvm it was crap: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1150114-frumentarii-build/page__p__16827429__hl__frumentarii__fromsearch__1#entry16827429

True you cant be everrything, but my current character s lvl 29 house faction. And I think by 35 he will max all but 3 skills.
All I really need is a guy who can be sneaky, so lockpick, sneak and speech. But at the same time be strong enough to be a elgion, survivial, melee and guns. I may drop unarmed, though that would look weird if I ever decided to RP him being promoted tpo praetorian. Oh and repair is just for survival, I doubt many people will want to trade when I commit myself to the legion...
Will the gun runners hate me ? If I cant do much I may have a use for that gold after all, make sure to get plenty of caps before being isolated.
Which characters will tolerate a legion member ? I know cass hates evil, but I will have to fight ncr so its inevitable that she will hate me, arcade will hate me, boone will, veronica probablly will when I wipe out the BoS.
God I forgot how much it svcks to be legion.

Raul, right?

Also, there's always the rad child perk which I'm championing these days.

why animal friend? i would bring repair to 50 for repair kits. it seems one melee skill should be enough and weapons can be poison.

Dont know would go well especialy since there is a legion guy who works with animals, and they seemm to rely alot on the wasete. But yeah 6 ch could be better used in other stats.

Survival is also a good thing. Legionnaires are big fans of poison.

Well, as far as SPECIAL would prolly go, I'm thinkin CH would be a Drop Stat (think 4 at maximum), but a relatively high ST, IN, AG, PE and EN somewhere between 6-8. LK would be up to your own personal tastes, but most Legion soldiers prolly don't Gamble, so it could be another good drop stat.

EDIT: Oh, and The Sandman would prolly be a good idea; Frumintarii sound like they would be the Latin/Western Hemisphere version of a Ninja  :toughninja:
...
...
Now that I think of it, Ninja would be a goos choice as well (if not already mentioned).

Anyway, what I meant was that your thread didn't exactly have any detailed suggestions for a frumentarii build.

True, I was just looking for SPECIAL recommendations.

That character never got off the ground, so I can't really help.
