So where exactly were the people I got to help me?

Post » Sun Dec 26, 2010 10:47 am

I spent a good chunk of time ensuring that the Boomers, Omertas, and the Brotherhood of Steel would be on my side at the battle for the dam, but when the battle came around, I saw nothing but NCR soldiers. WTF?

Did I have to go get them, or do they just not show up? What gives?

Every time I had the Boomers on my side a B29 (like the Enola Gay) dropped bombs on the Legion on the dam. Don't forget to look to the skies, you can get tunnel vision during the battle.

I had the Boomers, BOS and the Remnants. I saw the Boomers bomb the Legion. I saw Arcade fighting at Hoover Dam but had to look at him and speak to see his name or you couldn't tell it was him in the Power Armor. Inside the Dam I saw BOS in Power Armor. There weren't a lot of them but it was pretty chaotic so there might have been more that I didn't see. I saw the Remnants fighting on the Dam and Cannibal Johnson was with us when we fought the Legate. It was pretty satisfying after the battle. Can you reload and run through it again? :)

Sadly, I deleted my file once I beat the game; working on a new one now. I'll try again next time (it's okay, that was my first file; this one will go smoother now that I have a good grasp on the map, factions, ect. I never even found the remnants the first time, or ED-E, or stepped foot in Caesar's camp without all of them shooting at me. This will be a slower-paced, more filled-out run-through).

I was kinda pissed. I was only really paying attention to my objectives and dropping Legionaries, but I'm certain that I didn't see any friendly marks that weren't NCR. Maybe I just managed to miss them all, but I think I would have seen at least one BoS dude.

You really might want to save your end games, just in case we can use them at a later point. I've even had the Great Khans help me during the battle. So yeah, it's well worth the time to get as many as you can on your side. The only ones you won't see are the Omerta's and Kings, they stay back at the strip. Also, make sure you have your radio on during the battle! It's amazing it's like a play by play sporting event and you'll know everyone that's is on your side or against you.

I did not know that about the radio because I don't listen to it very much. I'll make sure to have it on for my Game 4 battle. Thanks a bunch. :)

I forgot to mention that if you watch that video I have in my sig, FNV Rap, there's a good scene near the end of the Boomers dropping bombs.

You'll have a much better game the second time; I usually do. :)
