This game is amazing

This game has completely wiped the floor with Fallout 3 in practically every single way. The sheer number of guns there are, more enemies, better map, iron-sights, companion-wheel, tons of things. Don't get me wrong, Fallout 3 was a great game, but New Vegas is so much better. I'm currently playing hardcoe mode and using this mod that gives you less health, different enemies have more/less health (meaning you can efficiently have a gunfight that doesn't last 5 minutes straight), lower XP gain, slower timecycle etc. Perhaps an hour ago, I found this abandoned caravan that had obviously been raided, I step outside the caravan when I notice Raul is aiming at something in the distance. I gaze down at my HUD and notice like 8 enemies have circled us. I just found it amazing how they were clearly waiting for someone to enter the caravan, then decided to storm us. I was firing through the caravan doorway whilst Raul was outside hiding behind some rocks. We killed all 8 of them, then looted them. It just felt incredibly immersive to hear this battle music playing in the background that doesn't sound nearly as depressing as Fallout 3's music did, it felt alot more modern, more "digital"-type sounds were playing. I noticed I was getting quite thirsty, so we loot the bodies to find purified water, like 100 caps overall, and some ammunition. Me and Raul start walking away from the scene of chaos and notice these 5/6 glowing things in the distance. I get my binoculars out from the Caravan pack and see that they're actually 'Glowing Ones' and 'Reavers'. My health was quite low, and I sure as hell wasn't going to take my chances as I barely survived a fight with human beings let alone sprinting monsters than could charge towards you at fast speeds and irradiate you. About a minute later, we find this farm with literally like 30 Brahmin & malnourished Bighorners. We decided to shoot them all as the place was clearly abandoned (and the XP is always nice).

Apologies If I've put you to sleep, and I haven't really stated why I like the game. I just find it to be incredibly immersive, it's amazing to play. Well done Bethesda & Obsidian.

Luckily I've encountered barely any glitches, and can successfully play this game on Ultra High, averaging 60fps+. Then again, my PC was £980, so you'd kinda expect it to. No brag, no brag..

Nah but in all honesty, this game is epic, thank you ever so much for making such a masterpiece.

I agree it is a quality game overall, so much going on if you want to do quests & if not still plenty of freedom to do what you want. Although when you get near Vegas there are so many missions it can be daunting, so i would reccomend NOT taking too many on at a time, and just enjoy it.

I admit that, the bugs aside, Fallout New Vegas is really good BUT the bugs in it are annoying at times so its not as good as it should be

It is. Currently in Vault 22, amazing atmosphere which the sound work makes perfect. To not spoil anything: BURN IT ALL! :flamethrower:

And then Veronica runs into a dark corridor and gets killed and the game crashes ^_^

I'm loving the iron sights, I don't like how many bugs there are but at least I haven't had any game-breaking ones yet. I'm glad I'm hearing all my music on the 360, that seems to be a problem for some people.

I'm in agreement with the majority of people here, aside from the bugs this game is very immersive, over 70 hours in and going strong.

I've only encountered tiny bugs such as half-submerged radscorpions, but that's about it really =/. Hopefully once a patch comes out, people will start to see the game for what it really is.

I am thoroughly pleased to hear you enjoying NV, I hope your still scavenging as we speak. I had FO3 since release and still can't say I've been through every location and experience it can provide. I'm finding in NV this is magnified hundred-fold! Glad to hear someone enjoy it and have the effort to come on and praise it.

I literally came off 10 minutes ago, I'm absoloutely loving it. Unfortunately Raul got himself killed by some members of the Legion. I knew it was a bad idea going against enemies with .40 Magnums and barely any cover. Looks like I'm gonna have to go my separate ways.. R.I.P Raul, you will be missed.

And no problem, words can't describe how much I love this game. I've literally just came off and am already thinking about turning it back on.
