Anyone compare Dad and Daughter?

Anyone take a look at Cass's face and compare it to John's?

They both have a rather narrow jaw and wide cheekbones, a narrow nose, and inward-sloping brows. Obviously, Cass's face is softer in contours on account of being female, and Old John's jowels are sunken in a bit more on account of being old.

But it's apparent that Obsidian did their homework on familial resemblance. :)

I wish Cass was either real, or I was in New Vegas... *sigh*

Any who, both are awesome.

The only similarity I can see are the ears, maybe?

Edit: Actually, the more I look at it, the more similar they look.

John Cassidy was an awesome guy... This new Cassidy though... not so much. Damn NCR bias :sadvaultboy:
As for resemblance... I suppose they do look a little alike, not much, but it's there...!

The Cassidy talking head is not canon, it's from a Fallout 2 mod. He doesn't have one in the actual game.

How is Cass biased to the NCR?

It's her home country, but even she says that the NCR lacks several thingss.

Yeah, Cass Jr. is cool and all, but I don't like her NCR bias either. She'd fit with my, I wouldn't say evil but, yeah with my evil character who likes tough women who can fight and drink, and I like her backstory and that she is related to Cass Sr. Sure it's good that she's talking trash about NCR and their shortcomings, but still she's a NCR supporter so I can't kill troopers. So I guess I have to go with Raul. He's kinda cool, but doesn't fit my character. There's really gotta be an evil follower. Like Ulysses who was cut, and Joshua Graham. I'd prefer Joshua Graham though, because he's really really evil but he hates Caesar's Legion because they set him on fire and threw him down Grand Canyon, which he survived (they story hasn't changed, has it?)

And on-topic, I can see a resemblance there, like Last Best Hope said, "the more I look at it, the more similar they look"

Your John Cassidy link doesn't work. :P

He's also described like this: "His long history of adventuring have left him in a less than perfect state, including a metal plate in his head, tons of old wounds, lack of one eye and memory of severe wounds, including a knifing in 2203 and gun wounds from 2201, 2195 and 2199"

So the correct monster face would be http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/7097/headc.gif.

Looks consistent with the description, but it's still not canon, since it's just from a mod.

It's from cut content because of time restricitions. As long as it isn't contradicted its fair game as cannon.

Course it's not canon since it's user-made. And why does it matter by the way? If I couldn't get over some canon issues, I would have never touched F3 or Tactics ever again.

A talking head was going to be in the game, but was unfinished. This particular one is user-made.

She does indeed say these things, but the fact that she will repudiate any attempt at helping the Legion to power makes her bias in my eyes

Well, that has more to do with the fact of her beeing a women rather than NCR bias.

A valid point indeed. Yet, I hate the NCR, and I'm kind of angry that they would make such a nice reference to Fallout 2, just to bind it to the NCR
