I will tell you one thing, betas will always probably be in testing only for PC. I never heard of a beta for consoles however. I am looking forward to this and very eager to hear info! :D
The original BF:BC2 Beta was PS3-Only, if I remember correctly.

I'm hoping that active members of the website before the relaunch (me) get first privelages.

It's only fair that way. :) And the beta is still far off.

A nice hello to all the new console members to the Crysis Universe! If your PC can handle it, I suggest you atleast try the free Crysis demo. :)

99.99% chance the beta is on PC. It's a waste of money (and a game) for it to be put on console for beta and people can copy the disks and make copies. And either way if you aren't playing Crysis 2 on PC you aren't playing it fully.

If they Beta is on PC then its not going to be immediately because they haven't even shown us and PC footage yet.

I'm guessing it will be on the PC first as its Crytek's most familiar territory, and beta on PC is more important because of optimizing the graphics to scale nicely on every computer setup.

Console Beta might be done later to make sure that nothing balance wise needs to be changed between the two versions, gamepad tweaking, stress testing, etc, but PC beta is the highest priority as it gets the most information back from the public.

By that logic, then a console beta would be just as important as Crytek making Crysis for consoles (as you mentioned, they're more PC friendly) is another big thing they wouldn't want to mess up.

sadly i dont think there will be a pc beta. either an only consoles (only xbox or also ps3) beta. why? the producers aren't interested in the few people who play pc. you make the money with consoles. so lets hope they made also good scripts for the pc's and buy a console for the beta ;D

ps: im defenatly not a friend of the consoles.. viva la pc :)

So because I was already a member of this site before the re-launch I don't get a beta key?

Or do they track everyone who logs in?

When you made your new account, did you use your previous name? I think the previous database has been wiped, period. Either that or they're currently working the stuff out now.

Either way, I'm glad to have joined :-)

Patience is a virtue and i'm sure they will make very obvious the point when beta keys are getting handed out.

and when i say make obvious, i mean to allude to computer specification diag downloads and applications :p

If it were you at crytek, would you waste a beta on a computer that couldn't even handle it?

I agree; they may have their own private beta with their computers optimized for performance, or may ask people for their specs. A console beta seems more likely, as consoles have their own set specs.
