A Very Petty Observation

Post » Wed Oct 15, 2008 9:35 am

This has bugged me since I first started FO3: I find squirrel stew, squirrel on a stick, iguana bits, etc....but where are are all of the squirrels and iguanas? This isn't pre-packaged food, so it's got to come from somewhere. I want to hunt some squirrel and iguana, darn it.

You can't because they've already been hunt down to extinction or maybe hidding from you.

Did we not already go through this before?

@OP:
Squirrels and Iguanas might just be those "background characters" that you never see in Fallout. A lot of games have these characters that play some role, but never actually is encountered by the PC.
I would have come with an example, but I'm tired right now, so I cannot be asked

Fable II could have rabbits and stuff run around so I fail to see why Fallout doesn't have any.

That would be illegal sir, since something from one game can't be used in another, so we need to find the person responsible for these portals and bring them to Justice :stare:

Squirrels and iguanas are like fat people in the Fallout universe. They exist, but you may or may not be able to see them.

I take it to be that they're the few creatures not mutated or psychotically crazy in the entire country of post apocolyptica America.
As such they were cooked and preserved within 20 seconds of the vaults opening, or deathclaws getting released.
That and they're too small to be seen on screen.

However killer rabbits exist still, hence the WW trait bonus item.

Well, NV has those annoying birds that show up as friendlies on your radar. You can shoot them, but they explode into nothingness. Definitely need mutated squirrels and iguanas in a dlc, I say. Then I could craft my own crispy squirrel bits.

Indeed we have, but cross dimensional jokes are always funny to me. I'm surprised we've yet to see an Imperial guard senses tingling Soldier saying we've violated the law and et cetera

why do tin cans, no matter what you shoot them with, never bend?

why can a courier survive 300 bullets all because hes cramming down stimpaks?

how come when you take a gecko's hide its all still there?

i know why, fallout's scientific laws are very different to ours.

hey, its 12:02, happy new year
