Where is Crytek?

Post » Fri Mar 05, 2010 2:21 am

Is there any moderator that can actually keep us informed of what is actually going on with Crytek? What is going on with the 360 version of the game? Is Crytek looking at the forums and trying to solve the issues? Did they take vacations?

What's the plan?

Was it a sticky thread? It's not. Such news should be.

Actually, yes I was informed of that update, but I don't really see how cheating or hacking issues are more important than controls, hit detection lag, film grain, disturbing music in the menus, etc.

Wrong priorities if you ask me.

They are still working on the update, they might be sleeping right now.

You know, since the developers are from Germany and England.

I, and likely you, don't know what was involved with creating that latest update. It may have been a very easy thing to implement. Plus, they said it involved "behind the scenes" stuff, so it may be helping them to monitor issues they are aware of for a future update.

They have a lot of things to address, so they probably want to make this first real patch as all inclusive as possible. Patience. Telling the devs that they don't know how to do their job is just wrong.

I swear man, I feel for these game developers any more. No offense to anyone, but gamers on the whole have become the whiniest, demanding group of people on the internet.

I personally don't think cheating on the 360 is as big of an issue as the game not working properly for the majority of the community. They NEED to fix that and then take care of the probably very few cheaters.

Without us "whining" nothing would change about the game. The Devs need to hear our feedback of the game and if it is running like **** then they need to know that. You cannot tell me someone can do a **** job and not expect negative feedback for it. They released a game that we payed 60 dollars for and we should expect a product that works well.

I disagree I think both issues are as important as each other. When you cannot enjoy the game due to people cheating it makes people not want to play, no players means less chance of the game surviving any length of time.

I for one got sick of being killed by people with insane fire rates and no kick back despite not having the levels required to unlock the abilities that stabilize aiming. And even after unlocking them myself, they just don't work THAT good.
Plus while it doesn't matter for some, others do like seeing their hard work and legit game play rewarded on the ladder system something that is impossible with cheaters and exploiters.

Can't wait to check out the ladder later to see what has changed.

But I am not holding my breathe for us getting the same amount of support as the PC community. Even though most of them are using pirated copies to play, where as 98% of xbox users paid for their game.

its because before internet enabled consoles games would ship
and they were playable and ready to go.
no need of updates and broken releases what ever happened to that?

If I look at all the issues on the forums, we can be sure that at least 95% of the requests are about technical or gameplay issues and not about cheaters.

If demanding that a retail project works as advertised makes me whiny then I'm happy to be so. At least I have standards and am not content to settle for whatever half assed badly programmed rubbish people churn out as games. Really, some people need to grow up a bit and start demanding what they deserve, not just what they paid for. These aren't freebies.

This isn't an issue and never a compalint of the console community. They need to address the community indiviually, each platform. PC has been the only one to get any attention...
I want patches now or at least confirmation of patches..
