Anyone else trapped in the elevator outside Gould's apt?

Just checking to see if anyone else has run into this bug and found a way around it, as it's annoying to think that I'm going to have to restart the game based on an issue with the checkpoint system.

Last night while playing, I got to the point where you've met Gould in his apartment, gone through the cutscene and come under attack. I went outside of his apartment into the hallway and was given the "checkpoint" message. Since it was late, I then quit for the day.

In logging back in today, I found I'm trapped in the elevator in the hallway, the gate is closed and there appears to be no way out. Am I missing something here, or have I basically run into another issue with the autosave system, this time one that's a game killer?

I tried checking the Crysis 2 save file in system memory in hopes it at least kept track of more than one checkpoint, but no dice - there's only one save file in there.

Anyone run into this and/or can offer some advice on how to get out before I just restart?

(Also, I did try contacting EA support through their site, but after a 25 minute wait, the support specialist basically just said "well, report it on the forums, maybe a developer will see it") - Kind of odd that as a customer, I have a better chance of having a developer read about an issue by posting on a public forum than actually going through a company's tech support.

Can't help you there bro, I would try the level over again, or trying to glitch your way through the gate.

Is there a way to start the level over again? Because at this point, the only options I've found would be to have to start the entire campaign over again.

Found it - for anyone looking for the same thing, you can restart a level by going to "campaign" and picking it - thanks for the suggestion, Chaotic - didn't think the game had a level select! May all your shots be headshots!

@Bulvine420 - I'd love to be able to do that, but the game actually locked me inside the elevator in the hallway across from his apartment door with no way out. All I can do is pace around inside the elevator.
