With word of a delay in release, saying it will be released in the first quarter of 2011. does anybody think they will be optimizing, changing or extending the game in anyway? and if they're optimizing the game, which platform should they favor?

Well, i'm sure they're not delaying it in order to sit there and do nothing As Crytek have said many times, they're trying to get all 3 platforms as close to one another as possible to deliver the best experience for all.

Lets hope the delay is because of opyimizing all platforms and making a bigger and better game
Personally I hope they focus on the PC since that is what I've got

Well, they said they're going to be polishing the game, so that means:

Optimizing stuff throughout the game, to make sure it all works. Add on extra stuff which they wouldn't have added due to the time. Update textures which they don't really think would work. Update the 3D models and animation possibly.

Sometimes they even get a completely new cast of voice actors as well, so I can assume some things will be different.

I am very glad it got delayed. This means optimization on graphics, gameplay, bugs, balancing, network, everything!

got to admit, I got plenty to keep me going, and if they got stuf to iron out, then so be it, woulda rather had the game now at one stage of thinking, but didnt realize it would need extra time.

The only problem I have with Crysis 2 being delayed is Crysis Wars, the game has been dead for 10 months so their is nothing good to play...

I think I might give Fallout 3 another go. I never finished it because V.A.T.S. was so damn superior to actually aiming and it annoyed the hell out of me. =/

Or hopefully Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has another patch coming with that dammed gamemode only the consoles got.
