I generally buy my games through Steam, but I received a gift cert to Future Shop and bought Crysis 2 in retail.
Whenever an update may be released, do I need to manually download them?

I generally buy my games through Steam, but I received a gift cert to Future Shop and bought Crysis 2 in retail.
Whenever an update may be released, do I need to manually download them?
You may not be able to do this anymore, but I remember at one time, you could hook your retail version up in steam and let it manage it.
