After Mission 15 ends and the cut-scene ends, the game crashes immediately on loading Mission 16. Going back and continuing campaign reloads at the same part each time (last checkpoint in mission 15.) I've tried 3 different Nvidia drivers, no driver crash exists in the nvidia/Win7 system lor app logs so I don't think that's the culprit. I've also tried Xp sp3 compatibility (didn't change), verifying game cache (Steam) and even reinstalling. Reinstalling did *NOT* fix it, nor did 'verify game cache' (or deleting the .ncf file from steam which causes the checksum check against the server's version of the game not just against the ncf file, which is what verify game cache does.) Drivers haven't fixed it either, though I think there's a new WHQL today which I'll try (I tried the latest 3 Nvidia drivers available yesterday.) Thankfully I'm paying attention to activation limits (removing activation before verify & reinstalls) as it seems to reactivate even after a steam cache verification.
I don't see any thermal issues, the game has performed admirably up until this crash. Skipping the cutscene at the end of Mission 15 simply makes the crash immediately occur (after cutscene ends) and there's no way to load Mission 16 from within the game as the next checkpoint save never occurs.
I went back 2 missions and played back to that point, the crash was faster (more immediate) and even though the game still wants to load that same checkpoint the next mission now shows up when I go into the campaign menu to start from that mission. So I can at least continue now...
Other issues I've had:
- Quitting & restarting the game causes Nano Catalyst points to go to '000' and it's actually about -800 or so (takes that many points to come positive again.) Until it's positive there is no melee.
- After this occurs and you do regain melee, certain weapons can only be selected with mousewheel up/down (or equiv keybind) and not directly by pressing 1/2/3. Once selected the weapon is easily selected using the 1/2/3 shortcuts, but not until.
- Not being able to select weapons or melee also randomly occurs later on, switching weapons seems to 'toggle' it back to being fixed.
- Multiplayer keys needed to be done as mentioned in a topic here already, known issue.
- LE key registration worked online but didn't actually *install* to the game until I tried to fix my crash (above) with Xp sp3 compat. mode.
