suarez07:
People are trading in Killzone 3 left, right and center as well. The SP was criticised for lots of things (chief among them, too many cut scenes) and the MP has been a disaster as well with many Killzone 2 players not touching it and the CoD crowd (which Guerilla so desperately tried to bring in) don't want to know.
"Though with Killzone 3's MP being a broken, unbalanced, retro map glitching, laggy, ultimate camping mess"
With the exception of Map glitching, u just described crysis , except u forgot to add in the bit about the hit detection being totally borked .
Kz3 has improved drastically and they are adding substantial patches to it and really making that game infinitely better to play than this game tbh
There's far better balance to game , it actually works, no lag, no hit detection issues, and no connection issues.
Ive been lucky in that I've been relatively issue free on both from beginning , but crysis 2 with it's hit detection issues and slight lag for me just makes me want to give up and trade it. I have halo reach, kz3 , bc2 , and what does this game bring to party exactly?? Frustration mainly, so I'm this close to saying goodbye , as like others have said there's many more fps around corner , but I'm not buying them either . I'll wait till I know how they work online after month or so, cause I'm fed up of this crap with new games.
I wouldn't call Crysis 2 broken. Few glitches, but not broken. I also can't call it unbalanced, as everyone's the same from the start. We all have cloak, armour and power. The only thing we unlock is weapons (and as most people just use SCAR anyway, it doesn't matter really) and perks. And the perks aren't game changing, as i've seen high level players get owned by people half their rank. Killzone 3 unlocks each class upgrades individually, so you can get destroyed if you're not there from the beginning.
Its also the ultimate camping game. Let's see, what's worse. Crysis 2, where if you cloak it drains your health and drops it to 0 if you shoot while cloaked? Or Killzone 3, where marksman can remain cloaked indefinately, have a machine gun and possess the ability to scramble your radar from a considerable distance? Oh, and lets not forget the infiltrator...
Though with regards to the hit detection, Crysis 2 is P2P and such, dodgy hit detection is to be expected. Killzone 3 uses dedicated servers, and as such is not to be expected.
Though Guerilla maybe adding patches... but they have to. People were leaving Killzone 3 in droves (myself included thanks to their questionable 'improvements') and its clear the game was released about 4 months too early. Crytek are releasing patches and improving an already brilliant game. This game only really has little niggles, not problems like being stuck on Pier 17 every time I play TIA.
Though how can Killzone 3 have 'no connection issues'. lol Upon release nobody could connect! And people still have some issues. I experienced them, whereas I haven't with Crysis 2.
