Checkpoint saves on PC..What's the point?

So I'm about 2 hours in, I'm enjoying the game alot, I like how you can attack a situation in more than one way.
You can go into the sewers and come back up behind your enemy to flank them,
You can use healthy amounts of stealth and pick them off one by one, stealth kills are immensely satisfying.
..Or you can run in like John-****-Wayne on a wing and a prayer, it's fantastic!

Great job there..

On to my point, You can spend 10-15 min attempting one way and die doing it, which is fine but now I get to start all the way back sometimes 15min back because some MORON at Crytek thought it would be a grand idea to force PC users to use a checkpoint system.

Listen retards, do you know what a hard drive is?
Jesus H..It's silly **** like this that makes me hate, I don't wanna hate you Crytek! But you make it SO easy for me to want to donkey punch you in your ass for pulling idiotic **** like this!

I assume the console tax of $59.99 for PC games means we're going to be treated exactly the same as console customers.

**** Yeah! I'm pumped! I'm excited!

Here's hoping they pull their head out and give us a choice later on with a patch..

What am i thinking, this is Crytek! I'll lay the crack pipe down now..

Can we atleast hope for DX10 in the future?..

I'm actually surprised the game doesn't pop up a prompt warning me not to power down my console...i mean system... while saving.
