CD key, redemption key, key already in use and flickering

Like many of you I was eagerly awaiting the release of Crysis 2. My conclusion based on yesterday's experience is don't pre-order games (Steam in this case) instead wait until the bugs are worked out. Here are my issues:

1. CD key doesn't stick and I need to re-enter it every time I start Crysis 2. Tried the path of keying it in, logging in, starting a MP game... alas I get the Serial code is in use error message... tried keying it in with dashed and without dashes... apparently is it a known bug according to this forum.

2. LE redemption key doesn't work - I log into gamesas.com, go to the redemption page, enter the key, and... am being asked to enter email address and password even though I'm already logged in... regardless, email / password entry results in nothing and am being asked to enter it over and over and over again...

3. Not sure whether it is AMD or Crytek issue but like many of you I experience terrible flickering while in full screen mode on my HD 6990... works OK in a windowed mode but then am using only one core...

Overall, very disappointing. Good thing am not really a MP fanatic SP is more my thing but still... the GPU issue really should be worked though. Game plays OK and while graphics are nice Crysis and Crysis Warhead is way better IMHO. Graphics in this game used to be sharp now they are not... weapons felt way tigher and realistic in the previous games in the series... anyway, that's a very personal thing some of you may disagree with me.

So we'll sit and wait for the new Catalyst drivers and / or patches.

EDIT: I did delete my cookies etc. on gamesas.com in an attempt to address the corrupt ID issue... still same results

This is in no way a steam issue and a 100% crytek issue. Blame the right people.

True enough... it is sometimes hard to be sure 100% who is to blame... :) Overall am very pleased with Steam service - bugs and glitches were to be expected.
