So, after digging around, I've figured a few things out as far as trying to fix that annoying patch problem.

EDITING YOUR REGISTRY CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO YOUR SYSTEM. ONLY FOLLOW THESE STEPS IF YOU ARE CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO SO. I, NOR ANYONE ELSE, WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Windows 7 x64
---------
Go to Start, launch regedit.

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Crytek\Crysis 2
Look for: Install Dir
Edit the string to the proper location of where Crysis 2 has been installed.
Save it, and try again.


Windows XP x86
---------
Start, Run, Regedit
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crytek\Crysis 2
Look for: Install Dir
Edit the string to the proper location of where Crysis 2 has been installed.
Save it, and try again.

Its rediculous that EA support couldnt figure this out.

Outside of those two environments, I wouldn't be able to say where the keys would be.

are you runnin 2x gpu's??? try turning one off and see if that fixes the issue
