Well hopefully cevat will keep his word. That said WOW. So basically i can develop games from scratch by using the next sandbox? Were we able to do that with the first one? I knew we could do total replacement mods for Crysis (dungeon crysis mod) but i was under the impression that you had to do it over the existing game data, not build code from scratch...It's going to be extremely interesting to see how the indie devs are going to take advantage of this.

No, with the sandbox editor you can create new levels and game environments, total conversion mods are possible later this year in August when the full SDK (software development kit) comes out :)

I'd rather they remade Crysis 1 with ledge grab. Then we would instantly have a game miles better than Crysis 2.

I like how it says "bowser" in the second picture, but this is great news.

If people say Modded Crysis > Crysis 2, well - we're going to see how modded Crysis 2 is going to look. :>
..That is, if they UNLOCK THE GFX/SFX COMMANDS.

God, I hope so...

If they combine this with DX11 and advanced graphics settings in the game too :p

It's not even particularly the looks that will matter. Crysis 2 is just too easy. Being able to use more than one mode at a time (power and stealth) just means you can sprint through the game, using modules which descrease energy usage. I barely had to kill anyone on SS/PHW difficulty because of that.

Crysis 1 is alot harder because you can only use one mode at a time, and the enemies are badass sons of biches.

We need a mod which makes C2 enemies ALOT harder for starters.

If you remember from the last Sandbox Editor, there were lots you could do to make the ai harder, variables to tweak etc to make your level more challenging.
