You don't have to play online for 6 months if i understood the trophy correct. You can play online only twice and get it.
You play at day X and then you play again at day X+6months

If you want it so bad just forward your PS3's clock forward 6 months then play. That's what people do with trophies like that, and is what I did with one of the Flower trophies. Though that was when I was a trophy hunter... couldn't care less about them now, more than happy to wait 6 months.

I tried it the first day, and it didn't work.

its a silly trophy to have in the list. Its pretty much blackmail to make some people keep a hold of the game, its almost as if they knew the online was terrible and this was a ploy to keep some players

easy tiger, if you re-read my post I mention nothing about that being a reaosn I played this game, however I know for a fact that it is a reason that many people do play this game. Like it or like it not, trophies/achievements are a big pull for many towards certain games, and i would not be surprised if this trophy was put on their list just as a means to keep those people playing the game that they knew was broken for release (and would not be up to scratch for a v. long time).

p.s. try not to make a fool of yourself in future by reading posts more carfeully.

I can't imagine they knew it was broken before release. It's just that they didn't go through it enough before release.

either way they done a half-assed job of things that resulted in a shoddy online side of the game that has inevitably ruined the experience for many as well as turning a game in to a 'no-go' for those that were undecided whether to get it

jesus christ! there are a few lag issues here and there and you may occassionally get the odd sound glitch but "half-assed job" and "ruined experience for many"!? Why are you still on the forums crying about it then? Go and play cod or kz3 or whatever perfect lag-free game you were playing previously. Guess what I do when it turns laggy. I turn off my ps3 and go and do something else rather than nerdraging so they push through a patch too quickly and not thoroughly test it. things can only happen as fast as crytek can do them and no amount of whinging and moaning will speed it up. "no-go" yeh ok buddy. i'll go back to playing the unplayable game now.

Well said dude, some of the people here are the most spoiled, impatient people I've seen so far! Like holy **** dudes chill out let them work on fixing the problems, not even the COD kids cry and whine as much as the people here.

Sorry but your the only one that comes across as nerd-raging :P. Even browsing through these forums you will find plenty people that are very very disappointed with the online side of this game. As for your suggestion of rebooting my ps3 or leaving it a while to get over the 'occassional' lag, that does nothing the game lags like hell all of the time! Now before you start trying to have a go at my connection or whatever, this is the only game that I constantly experience these problems with, so it is the game not my connection. What are you on about rushing a patch through??? I am fully aware that patching should not be rushed etc bla bla bla, but features + elements of the online modes i.e. matchmaking, lag, the ability to cheat are all massive factors that should not fundamentally need to be patched as they should be tested to breaking point before release, i.e. they rushed the game out, or didnt feel the need to do sufficient testing, therefore done a half-assed job IMO. Yeah i stand by my point that all of these fundamental and embarrassing problems the game is going through right now will have put many off purchasing the game, personally I know of 7 people that feel this way and I am sure that they arent the only 7 people in the world that have done so.

Congratulations on sounding like a little fanboy kid btw.

I'm sorry I enjoy the game I purchased. If flaming on multiple threads and sending crytek virtual obscenities and generally throwing my dummy out the pram is a requirement to not be a fanboy then I guess I am a fanboy. No game release is without issues for a month or so, especially lag and no amount of non-constructive criticism will change that.

Don't be ridiculous, what has shouting obscenities etc. got to do with not coming across as a bit of a fanboy? Grow up.

There's no need to apologise for enjoying the online, good for you, but please do not be so naive as to assume everyone else should do aswell.

Ofcourse the complex online games of this gen will have teething issues and these would be unforeseen issues that first arise during the game being played 'live' in the real world for the first time. However, the issues with this game were present in the beta (other formats), and in the demo. Aside from that they are major issues that effect fundamental aspects of the online game, I.e. Not teething issues that have only just cropped up for the first time. These were my reasons for my previous comments and like it or not they are fully justified.

Half these people on this forum don't realize that Crytek doesn't owe any of you a **** thing, let alone a response to get things fix.

You know what I do when people treat me like ****, and talk down to me even though they don't have ****, and wont be ****. They get ignored.

If you think paying $60 obligates/ entitles you to something, you're dead wrong. Especially when they still own that game, even though you paid full price for it.

You don't like the game? Return it. MP svcks? Return it. Too many bugs? Return it.

You know what else fixes problems....not buying it in the first place. You know what else fixes problems? Acting like a advlt and pulling that immature stick out of your ass.

So far the only people biching are the Boosters/Hackers/Cheaters and last but not least, the trophy whores.

Naw, he's what I like to call the "Simple Jack" type.

Apparently he thinks Crytek made him sign a contract to keep the game in his collection for the rest of his life, and he's never aloud to have a choice in what games he wants to play.

Shouldn't have signed that dotted line man, you're **** for life. Not having options must really svck bro.

Mcfly just went full retard. You never go full retard.

Haha!

You guys are acting very immaturely.

Not once have I asking, wanted or implied I wanted fixes/patches etc. I do not expect anything over the odds from games companies/developers, but it would be nice to, at least, have a finished article (within reason) when you buy something like this game. I have pointed out the major issues I have had with the game along with the big pluses I have had with the game. You guys are just hating because you love the game and dont like this big nasty bad man pointing out the flaws. The bottom line is that on these public forums I have shared with people my opinion simple as that. If you guys are silly enough not to see the flaws (pretty major atm) then whatever, if you still enjoy the game regardless of these then all the better and good for you but dont expect everyone else to negate the issues they have with the game just because you still love it.

no I still hold my opinion that people that cannot see the glaring issues in this game at face value then that screams of fanboyism. You can love a certain game but still hold your hands up to its flaws, if you cannot then you get the fanboy tag. Simples.

Oh and before anyone spits the dummy, the above is a general statement.
