You know, Crytek aren't a charity. They have to spend money to make a map pack and giving it away for free means they lose money.

No, I don't think they should give one for free, but neither do I want it horribly overpriced like CoD map packs are.

Wish people would stop calling Crysis 2 a beta though...

well it feels like a beta , lets be honest. the issues online, dont really make it feel like a fully developed game does it?

as for map pack, im sure they could afford to give it away out their vast profits from the game, and as much as i think they should as a good will gesture give the maps away at least at a reduced price, it wont happen, as theyre a business with a huge publisher behind them wanting to get paid

Indeed, even if Crytek did decide to be charitable and offer a map pack free, there's no way EA would allow it.

rather them just fix the game instead of giving us free maps for a game that needs fixing. I mean whats the point when they will also be unplayable.

*Looks at Killzone 3 and seeing map glitch still present after map pack release*

Yeah, issues need fixing first. They'll need a patch to patch trophies in anyway, so the fixes will be in that patch.

Well of course fix the damn game first, but when it is in better condition then the state it is then they should give us one or two maps for free.
I think they should because crytek got an extra 3 months to finish their product, but seems ployish they didnt. :( sorry, but its true.

So, you're making a poll asking people if they'd rather get stuff for free than pay for it, and then Crytek are supposed to be surprised that the answer is yes? Okay, dude.

I think if anything the question should be, "will you boycot map packs unless they're free?" Which people would probably still answer yes to and then pay for the maps anyway, but at least that would make a bit more sense.

They may have been forced to release it by EA with the competition looming. I'm sure Crytek would've rather kept on improving.

They may have, but it seems wierd that 4 or so years and 3 months would be enough time to make the product at least 75% complete dont you think?
