Don't know about you guys but I hate half the maps on this game.
Liberty Island, Evac Zone and Statue are all practically the same and all are different shades of grey and blue. Drab and dreary. Parking lot and Wall Street are also plain awful.
I would give you a breakdown as to why I dislike the first three I mentioned but I honestly cannot mentally visualize what each looks like to draw comparisons (I'm not being sarcastic when I'm say this). Perhaps I need to walk around the maps in a private match to see if there are differences, however I would probably have all my skills, weapons, rank etc reset.
Parking Lot is just two boring grey and blue open areas with a choke point at some stairs in the central building, completely uninspiring. Wall Street is an even bigger open area with a building in the middle. I hate these two maps with a passion that it hurts (whenever I see them on the map rotation) especially on instant action because for every 1-2 kills you get you get shot in the back. Completely flat, and gameplay boils down to who see who first. What makes these two low-res maps even worse is that due to their colours pixelated stealth people are extremely easy to spot, alot easier than any other map.
I do like however, Pier 17, Skyline, Terminal, Sanctuary, City Hall, Downed Bird and Lighthouse. They are full of varied, vibrant high-res colours, BEAUTIFUL and complex terrain and verticality, with little details that make you feel as though it was a real enviroment. I would love to see those locations in NY if I get the chance to go there. It's as though these maps were made by a completely different company.
I'm looking forward to a new map pack already, I just hope there not going to be all grey and blue with flat terrains. I don't know what possessed them to make all the night time maps so uninteresting.
