SLI bug: Motion-Blur

Post » Tue Jun 22, 2010 10:34 am

Here's what my motion-blur looks like in the game... note the statue. http://s2.postimage.org/a6qkpvv0v/wtfblur.jpg

Is this ghosting the normal effect? If so please let me turn it off, I'm not roleplaying a solder on an acid-trip nor am I trying to simulate playing on a 45ms response-time LCD panel from 2001.

EDIT:

It seems that three way SLI is bugging out the motion-blur (and giving me flickering shadows)

Here's a screenshot of the motion blur when I disable SLI.. it looks much smoother and less like a ghost afterimage.

I will seriously end up not playing this game and Hating Crytek for it if they don't tone down this ghosting or let me turn it off. Not that I can play right now anyhow with the shadows flickering like mad.

Yes QQ. It's annoying and stopping me from enjoying the game.

This is what motion blur looks like in dx9. Hopefully dx11 support gets patched soon so we can enjoy the game like it's supposed to be played.

Its not supposed to be played, its supposed to be sold for console gamers, and let the PC users deal with this ugly piece of ****, oh and then probably sell some map packs to all the console noobs who still play since PC gamers of Crytek all quit.

A google of 'Crysis 2 r_motionblur = 0' took me to lots of different sites detailing how to turn off this blur from the very pit of Crytek hell.

Console gamers are currently buggered and probably have to wait for a patch. Someone must have been on mushrooms when they implemented this.

If you have the PC version, just go into the Crysis 2 main game folder and edit the system.cfg file, just add "r_MotionBlur = 0" to the list and it will be disabled from the get go.

Just put r_motionblur = 0 in the system.cfg and it works fine.

Okay, the blur is bugged in my case.

Check out the blur if I disable SLI which also stops the flickering shadows bug.

The NS2's visual processing seems to have slowed down since the original design. Lowest bidder, apparently.

You kinda need to see it in motion. THe SLI blur is not smooth at all, and its just this tracer like effect... it's like looking at a 3d movie without the glasses. It's way more tolerable without SLI on... but I'd rather disable it altogether TBH. I dont mind object motion blur, but full scene is a bit much.
