Who finds the Scar Hologram a little on the cheap side? I sure as hell do, the game is starting to look like **** bit by bit.

Chances are they will make it so you can tell a difference between real people and holograms. It's only stupid people who will fall for it.

I am pretty sure that it has a slight flicker in the image. In the gameplsy videos atleast, I noticed the hologram quite easily. So I don't think it will be too cheap. Plus when you have 30-40 bullet magazines and it takes 5 to down someone, you shoot 5 at the hologram, find out its not real, then the camper comes out and you put 5 into him. That still leaves 20-30 bullets left in your magazine. Just don't be an idiot and empty your mag into a hologram. xD

I suppose from a distance it is harder to tell. Especially if they have their playertag hovering above the hologram and not the camper..

Easy when you use the thermal vision the hologram processes little to no heat at all will a real player does ,so have the thermals equiped so you don't get fooled :)

Dont see any problem with the idea, i think its fine, given that this is set in the future, and for the most part, based on andvanced technology, to me it fits the bill perfectly.

its an extension on a current real life idea, your about to be discovered by the enemy, you dont want that for whatever reaon, so you throw a stone elsewhere, to destract them, and usually thats the way they go.

Same ****, Dirrerent way, :-)

It's a pretty effective tool. At least now you can use this attachment and see if there are any enemies in the room you're about to enter.

This will give away positions. I may fall for it as well. :P

If you are good at spotting cloaked players, the hologram will not be a problem. I mean the hologram will not generate any shadows. Or will it?

Another question, will the limited edition be available in retail starting March 2011 or is it a pre-order exclusive? If any of you can, ask a Crytek representative :D

Limited Edition will likely only be available on day 1 as it offers extra content at no additional cost. You could wait for the game to hit the shops but if there's a large amount of pre-orders then it is unlikely there'll be any copies left.

I wonder if it will STAY exclusive to the pre-orders. I hate when you pre-order to get something special, and then in the future, they throw it in some DLC. It should just be available to those who pre-ordered and THAT'S IT.

It's not cheap, it's in the game and a viable tactic. It will work good at first, then everyone will have it figured out. If it stays exclusive to pre-order only, after a while, it will be deadly. Your gonna have to figure out a way to sell it. I for one am looking forward to toying around with it.

pretty sure they will bring that back for single player, but im not sure about multiplayer. It would be cool in MP, but i wonder how they will balance it.

You dont even need to empty 5 bullets, you can just shoot one bullet into the hologram (which you dont know is a hologram) and you will realize it is a hologram because the little 'x' wont appear on the crosshair (like it does when you hit an enemy.
But you might as well use 5 bullets :P
