I don' mean to complain, but seriously..

After watching a bunch of YouTube videos portraying the pure epicness that is Crysis 2 multiplayer, I expected to be able to run right in and beast it up like I do in generally most other FPS's. I had played the Demo, and I hoped that the horrendous networking issues would have been addressed. I thought the hit detection would be improved, and generally the game would be playable for people with less than a four-bar. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to ever have host, and my connection is generally between a Call of Duty 3- and 4-bar. Not too bad. But in Crysis 2, I can't ever get above a 3-bar, and rarely do I ever get above a 2-bar connection. So let me put it plainly:

If you don't have host, the game is unplayable and unstable.

All that being said, if you do have a good connection, as I so rarely do, then it's a fantastic game. I enjoy it very much. But I was hoping this'd be what would keep me away from Call of Duty for a while. Clearly it isn't, and I'm very sad for that. What do you guys think about it, though?

It isn't the game that is having an issue, it is YOUR end. I just FIXED the lag problem from MY end so I am certain I got it.

Crysis2 has a HELL of a lot ALWAYS going on every split second. On top of this, all these things are extremely complex, pretty things.

In the most pure of laymans terms: Crysis 2 takes a hell of a lot of ass from your internet to run. You need a fairly BUFF internet to make it all work pretty.

My Father, who handles the computer we own, messed with our router and I haven't seen any lag. None.

It isn't Crysis2, it is YOU. Everyone who is whining just doesn't have buff enough internet.

If what you're saying is true then this is a badly put together game, Connection > Aesthetics.

Actually, I think he means that if your connection is ass, trade the game in.

Its also the player. It may feel like you are pumping bullets into someone, but in reality you may just be aiming a little off. I notice this when watching replays I recorded to check what I did wrong.

Aim assist is not as strong as CoD in this game.

Total BS ive got mates with up to 30mbs down and 7mbs up.. and the game still plays like **** for them, so explain to me how that works?

its simple game has issues and has been shipped for them to test it on us who bloody bought the game, so now we have to wait till it either gets fixed or just ignore it a carry on. but i can easily say people will move on

Not at all. The first Crysis would never work on an Xbox. The second has made it work.

They brought Crysis2 to the Xbox360, really this is just how well the Xbox is capable of running the game. It ISN'T the game.

Also, the Aesthetics are only a single layer of a huge, delicious sandwich of aspects that make this game extremely complex under the hood. The NPC Marines in Halo:Reach consist of roughly a million polygons and they look how they do, how many polygons do you think make up the marines in Crysis2 then?

It isn't merely look, it is size, shape, speed. Hundreds of numbers flying through the air around you at every split second during gameplay. The Xbox has to think HARD about these numbers and then send them ALL accurately over the internet.

That is some serious thinking, don't you agree? I may not be some tech genius, but even I understand that really it is just the sheer number of things happening that causes the issues.

I do have an answer that I personally think explains it.

Crysis2 REALLY doesn't like you. You must have let it hear you talking mean about it on the internet.

Have you ever gotten hit markers when you miss someone? Not even a smart ass question, I mean like I did once, while totally fine on connection, get a hitmarker after I KNOW I missed the guy.

If there is a glitch causing false hitmarkers, which I believe there could be, then I feel that may explain some of the frustration.

That said, I only got a false hitmarker ONCE that I know of.

Or get better equipment so your internet is no longer ass. Really most people should be doing that kind of stuff without needing to have a game remind you.

Some people have no authority over that (like in my situation, I live on a campus that doesn't allow me to have routers). svcks to be me. However, I do still enjoy the game when it works. I just can't enjoy it right now... It's raining and for some reason the net goes to balls when it rains here.

Kinda what I was thinking to... but then I can't decide what university in their right mind would lay wires that didn't have proper shielding. Oh well, don't have to spend many more years here.
