Hey BlendBassist - I played with you today and you tore it up. Good job!

You're the only other person i've encountered online doing melee other than myself who does any good with it (15-20 kills a game) I was trying badly to level the machine pistol I use for my spotter class in our games though, so never got to pit my melee versus yours...

My class is exactly the same apart from the primary. I use a Feline with Ex. Mags and a Silencer. The Jackal is too random against armoured enemies, and if they're in Jackal range anyway, I often find they're in melee range, whereas the Feline gives me just a few more options and the stealth aspect ensures I don't attract a crowd should I use it.

I have and always will refer to Melee players as 'Runners' or 'Freerunners'.

It fits extremely well in Crysis2, as some melee players actually DO appear to be running a parkour race around the map.

Kudos for finding a playstyle you like.

Thanks man! It's nice not to have so much hate towards it for a change.

I do it because i've played so many FPS games that walking around with an Assault Rifle is beyond tedious, so I need something else to interest me that's a bit novel, and the Freerunning element this game allows is fun and interesting, so I choose to play that way.

Without it, i'd simply not have bought it as the only way any FPS game can get my attention anymore unless it allows unorthadox playstyles. What killed Halo Reach for me was the fact it was DMR or nothing. Utter tedium.

Yeah I get so much hate mail for it.
