PS3 problem in 3D mode. HDMI 1.4 screen.

Post » Thu Jul 08, 2010 6:31 pm

I get a screen that says must hook up to HDMI 1.4. It is hooked up to an HDMI 1.4 device (Sharp LC-60LE925UN) TV. Is there a switch or something in the software. There is no recovery from the warning screen and no way to continue into 3D.

You need a HDMI 1.4a cable if you're trying to output in 1080p big guy. Or take it from 1080p and drop it down to 720p and the cable you're using now should work just fine.

You dont need a HDMI 1.4 cable to play in 3D.Thats only money making. You can use your old 1.3 cable to play in 3D like me and a lot of other players.Whatch movies and play games in 3D with your 1.3 HDMI cable.

Thats correct you only need 1.4 to play at 1080p as not many games you play run at 1080p you should be fine on 1.3 hdmi, its only for true 3d on blu ray as the cable needs to supply 2x 1080p pictures simultaniously, but seeing as crysis runs at a lot lower res on ps3 you should have no problems!mine works A1 on 1.3 hdmi cable, unfortunatly it still has all the bugs and lagg issues, but ive gotta say 3d is definatly the way to go with gaming the depth is excellent on screen.
