Why would you need a blue ray player for 3d games?
You need a 3d compatible Monitor and a 3d Vision Kit from nvidia.
As far as i know 3d movies are only delivered on blue ray discs..if you ment that.

A 3d vision kit from nvidia will guarentee 3d, but crytek have mentioned that the game will run in 3d even on 60hz monitors, which means all PC's will do 3d if you have some basic stereoscopic glasses (like the ones at the cinema). But, of course, they could have been talking out of their arse in that interview.

From an article:

http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,768604/Crysis-2-Everything-about-DirectX-11-3D-without-perfomance-drop-and-8-core-optimization/News/
Please keep in mind: The details following details are referring to the CryEngine 3 (CE3) in general and can't necessarily be linked with Crysis 2!
and
Instead of rendering each picture twice (half the framerate!) and projecting it on a dedicated 120 Hz LCD monitor, Crytek simply uses the back buffer and the depth information in the graphics card: The renderred frame is practically being cloned and the fractum shift procedure makes two out of it. Thus, on the one hand there is nearly no performance drop and on the other hand stereoscopic 3D might be possible on any display - no matter if it's on PC or consoles. Crytek calls this technology "Screen Space Re-Projection Stereo".
You will need a 3D capable TV, a copy of Crysis 2 and some 3D glasses.

In my opinion its best to buy the 3d vision.. you can play all games in 3d then. But one way or the other u need a 3d capable monitor.

Is it chronic that when u speak about crysis 2 you always talk about the console version?

This is a bad sign ,,
