Vtols are back!!!

Post » Mon Jul 12, 2010 1:46 am

So I was watching one of the cryengine 3 sandbox interviews and I noticed that the guy demoing sandbox 2 accidentally opened the vehicles tab, revealing all of the vehicles :P

Here's the video:

Pause at around 8:12 and make sure you watch it in HD

So we know that vtols are back, but my question is will they be in multiplayer?

That's the sandbox, and if you see the cryengine pics you'll see that most of them are in a jungle, however the consoles can't handle the open environment so they have it in a city where the can't be vtols.

(If you make your own maps you might be able to use it though)

It is probably just the old assets ported into the CryEngine 3. There is no indication that Vtols or any other player-controlled vehicles will be available in Crysis 2.

Still its not completely unworkable, we see choppers int the opening trailer, is it the making of The Wall. and yea its tight flying, but not too much to choose between the chopper and the Vtol.

also some clear wider spaces, and the cieling is pretty high on a Vtol, just a thgought guys, :-)

vertical space is limited, you can't jump on high high buildings, so if you have a flying vehicle you can only go so high, so it doesn't matter if there vtols or not.

Like I said it was just a thought.
but I wouldnt imagine having the same limited ceiling as a nao soldier, applied to a Vtol.

Why would he get fired?

Its just the old assets ported into the CryEngine 3. They guarantee and/or leak nothing about Crysis 2.
