true, the negitive reaction by the demo, especially creating an account with gamespy, hurt them.
No dx 11 hurt more and no sandbox hurts there core modding comunity.
Its almost as if they have pressed a self destruct button.

Yup, I was going to upgrade my GTX 260 to a 580. Because I've always wanted the highest end card. But nope, I'm going to wait until Battlefield 3 where DICE is actually embracing DX11 API. Even if Crytek patches DX11 in, I doubt it will do much and they've already ruined my impression of them and their reputation.

Some advantages to waiting is, Kepler or Maxwell (forgot the codename) is planned for late 2011 and early 2012, so prices of Fermi would go down and who knows if NVIDIA will revise their cards once again (smaller die, less tdp etc.)

DX11 isn't a big issue for me, but that's only because I'm still on two GTX 295's and wouldn't be able to make any use of DX11.

However, where is the Sandbox? If I'm not mistaken the people that pirated the game a month or so ago have been playing around with the Sandbox yet the people who have actually spent money on this game and waited for its release are yet to see any of what the pirates are getting.

Shogun 2: Total War has done something like this too, no DX11 as of yet, you can't turn AA on and Shogun 2 isn't even a console port.

chicken32 - I got gfx 580 well its still worth it to upgrade coz if you play BFBC vietnam or black ops or civilisation V graphics look realy good
so its worth it to upgrade.CRYTEK is a rubbish dev, so forget about that **** game.if I find someone stupid to buy my copy so Im going to sell it anyway.no more crytek !!!!!!.
