What is the required Internet speed to play Crysis 2 online? : Crysis

Dear staff I will be playing Crysis 2 online on my PS3 but my Internet speed is 768kbps is that good enough?

damn, if only I had that internet speed! I could play Crysis wars on a 60kbps speed and it ran fine, that Wars took more bandwidth than C2 thats for sure

i got DSL 1000 and Crysis Wars works perfectly and smooth

I have 768kbps too, when I played MW2 it was laggy when I played Killzone 2 it was fine... my guess is it mostly depends on the servers.

I think that it should be fine because the servers are only 6on6.

Im on a 15mbp/s connection (basically around 2mb/s download speed, 700kb/s up) and it runs fine. You can get away with MUCH less. Really it just depends on the server ping...

Crysis uses about 200kbps or .2mbps, that is about 25 KB/s file transfer.

Don't rely on a good speed though, if you have a crappy connection with bad connection stats, it will ruin your game experience. You may have low FPS, bad hit detection and server disconnects.

I have a crappy, old, 1mbps connection, but i'll do fine with it (The only games that really lag with it are BC2 and MoH beta... Both of them have bad networking code.)

My internet speed is crud... when I played BFBC2 it would throw me around them throw me out of the game ;(

My ping in Crysis Wars german servers commonly is 50-60; in BFBC2 even the swedish & the russian servers hosted from St. Petersburg lag for me; eventhough both of them are very nearby. I guess you'll be fine in Crysis 2 MP.

Console users have a much better chance of getting lag free game-play due to the way they connect to the servers, PC users are more likely to require a higher internet speed. You should be fine with the connection you have, we haven't released any specifications regarding Crysis 2 at this stage, we will post the information as we have it.

Its nice to see a serious question that hasn't been asked before. I am on a desktop with a wifi adapter connected to Verizon Fios high speed internet Modem. And most games play fine for me
