If you have trouble installing, its a PC problem, not a Crytek problem. Be honest with yourself, and you'll know it to be true. If you choose to use cheap (free) anti-virus software there may be issues. I use Webroot's Antivirus with Spysweeper and it doesn't even hiccup during the install.
Connection problems can be a wide range of things. I cannot connect to EVE Online when I have certain DNS Servers specified in my Internet Connection configuration. (I found ones that did work well, not Eve's fault, maybe Comcast's fault somehow, or just bad luck) Ping, tracert, go to grc.com and use their tool to benchmark your DNS Servers and maybe use it to find faster (more better) ones.
Bugs: Indeed. I have already posted what i've experienced so i'll summarize - sometimes melee action is disabled after dying which can break the game sort of if you need to open a lock or kick a locked door to progress in the chapter. This can also cause you to miss out on some souvenirs (sp?) and unlockables b/c melee seems to work fine again after you reach the next checkpoint.
Some people experience issues with serials and codes, but that's more an issue of the backend of things and not directly the game and its creators.
As far as graphics goes, yeah it seems the game is very picky about which drivers you're using, and their configs/clockspeeds, etc. I had to just delete my ntune profiles found in users/acctname/appdata/local...etc and I was back in business.
Im running a Q6600 clocked between 3.0 and 3.6ghz (still finding optimal for gaming but Crysis 2 doesn't care if its 3.0 or 3.6ghz, as far as gaining any additional performance. I use 8gb ram, and a gtx 260 OC default clocks and a 1080p resolution. On high I get 60fps, on Higher I get 45fps, and on Extreme I get 30-33fps. I just started testing with extreme but it held up quite well during an intense firefight with 6-8 squids coming at me.
Ultimately, the game had it rough from the start due to all the hype. I still use Crysis to benchmark and the one thing you see on the screen always is a hand or two and a weapon. Honestly, in Crysis it looks a cameraman running around with a fake gun on the end of a stick. Use your imagination a lil. Crysis 2 looks awesome in that respect. You really feel that's a person's hands operating some nice weaponry. It feels alive and moves even when you are standing still. Not the flatness and death that appears in Crysis.
All in all, everyone's experiencing their own set of bugs or flaws, hopefully not all of them at once though it'll happen in the pc market, no matter what your creds are as developers. I believe if this game had any name other than Crysis 2 or Crysis-related, it would be received much better on these boards than it is, currently.
Let's hope for some awesome patches. I look at it this way. I'm playing the game in DX9 and enjoying it quite a bit once I ironed out my own PC issues. When its running in DX10 or DX11, to me, it'll feel like a whole new game/experience, and will (hopefully) only be even better.
