Will Crysis 2 Feature Any Additional Gameplay Elements Beyon

I thoroughly enjoyed the combat, customization, and open-world elements in Crysis 1 and Warhead, but , on many occasions, as I found myself spending hours simply exploring the world, I kept wishing there could be some sort of additional incentive for doing so. Not in the form of achievements, but actual physical rewards that could be enjoyed during gameplay. For example: secret weapons you cannot collect during the normal playthrough, suit skins, a dog-tag collection-reward system (i.e. collecting hidden dog-tags/tokens/whatever grants you currency for purchasing items in a secret shop?) How awesome would it be in Crysis 2,to find a hidden passage somewhere in a building off the beaten path, where you could find some hidden costume/, weapon, visor, vehicle, or something else? I think it would be an excellent addition to the game. The world is going to be big and beautiful,so people are going to explore it anyway, but some treasure-hunting incentive would make it even better.

i dont think that you get extras when you play it more explor the world
but there are audio guides and the suit shows you how the cevilans died

I like the idea, but I think that the only reward should be a weapon-skin or armour-skin, because any performance enhancements would almost make it necessary to turn into Dora The Explorer.

Crytek has two community managers and a moderator that keep the forum up to date and consider/respond to our ideas and issues.

@OP - I like your thoughts. Tangible rewards are a nice treat for exploration. It might even be more possible in C2 with it's 'busy city' layout.

I support your thread, 101%. As long as they don't make it into a cheesy achievements tab. And yes your idea, is impressive.

There should be some extra incentive, besides the jaw dropping graphics that will hopefully deliver in Crysis 2, like Easter eggs and even bits of side quests - maybe that require you to find something or blow a building up...
and of course achievements and a few skins and unlockables (as said above)

A good example of this was Batman Arkham Asylum - The Riddler's Challenges had me scouring around every map. And a lot of the fins are very interesting themselves. Stuff like this increases gameplay time by a lot.

Crytek would be wise to take advantage of some of the ideas the Crysis 2 PC mod community will come out with for future DLC amongst the console platforms. I wouldn't mind putting some money up to download the Crysis singleplayer, enhanced for Cryengine 3. as a DLC. I think it would enhance the franchise, extend the game's longevity, and also introduce players formally to Crysis who haven't been able to play before because of the PC requirements.
